Privacy Policy — True Bills Guard
Operated by Vajgrt Labs. Last updated October 31, 2026.
Where the app stands today
True Bills Guard is in pre-launch. The public app currently runs entirely on fictional demo data, on your device. Bank connection is not yet active. This policy describes both today's demo and the connected service, so there are no surprises when connection opens.
When bank connection opens
- Read-only, through Plaid. Bank connections are made through Plaid Inc. You sign in with your bank inside Plaid's flow — we never see, receive, or store your bank username or password.
- What we process: transaction history (dates, amounts, merchant names, categories) and account balances, used to detect your recurring bills, project your balance, and compute your savings buffer.
- Access tokens issued by Plaid are stored only on our servers, encrypted at rest, and are never sent to your device or logged.
- We never move money. True Bills Guard has no ability to pay, transfer, or withdraw funds. Its "what-if" feature is a calculation, not a transaction.
- We never sell your data. No advertising profiles, no data brokerage, no third-party marketing sharing. Service providers (such as Plaid and our hosting provider) process data only to run the service.
Your controls
- Disconnect a bank at any time in the app; the Plaid connection is revoked and its access token destroyed.
- Delete your account at any time; your transactions, detected bills, and tokens are purged, and a data-deletion request is filed with Plaid.
- Our admin tooling sees aggregates and detection metadata only — never a customer's raw transactions or balances.
Estimates, not guarantees
Bill detection and balance projections are estimates computed from past transactions. A projection that a payment "will decline" or "will clear" is a warning to check, not a guarantee of any bank's behavior.
